He has made guest appearances at the Leipzig Opera, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Staatstheater Meiningen, Landestheater Innsbruck, Miller Theatre New York and Nationaltheater Weimar. He made his debut at the Opéra National de Paris as Artabano in Pagliardi's ‘Caligula delirante’ with Le Poème Harmonique under Vincent Dumestre, and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in ‘Il Barbiere di Siviglia’ under Jean-Claude Malgoire. He has been a guest at prestigious music venues including: Glyndebourne Festival/GSMD, Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele, Rheingau Music Festival, Heidenheim Opera Festival, Handel Festivals of Halle, Karlsruhe and Göttingen, Féstival Berlioz France, Festival de Sablé, Salle Philharmonique de Liège, Konzerthaus Berlin, Philharmonie am Gasteig Munich, de Single Antwerp and Concertgebouw Amsterdam, to name but a few.

In 2018-19, Florian Götz made his role debut as Malatesta in ‘Don Pasquale’ at the Staatstheater Augsburg. In the opera ‘List, Scherz und Rache’ by Ph. Ch. Keyser based on a text by J. W. Goethe, he performed the role of the Doctor with the ensemble l'arte del mondo under Werner Erhardt (CD recording for Sony). In 2020-21 he sang Papageno in Mozart's ‘Magic Flute’ under the patronage of KS Edda Moser at the Festival of the German Language at the Goethe Theatre Bad Lauchstädt, the title role in Handel’s/Telemann's ‘Poro, re dell’ Indie’ under Jörg Halubek with Il Gusto Barocco in a CD recording for CPO at SWR, and Aeneas in Purcell's ‘Dido and Aeneas’ with the Lautten Compagney under Wolfgang Katschner. Furthermore, in 2021 he performed the leading role of Damon in Telemann's ‘Pastorelle en musique’ with the Ensemble 1700 under Dorothee Oberlinger at the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci, at the Markgräfliches Opernhaus Bayreuth, at the Innsbruck Early Music Festival (CD production for Sony/dmh, nomination for the IMCA Award 2022) and at the Telemann Festtage Magdeburg in 2022. In the 2021-22 season, he appeared as the title role in Vivaldi's ‘Il Bajazet’ at the Staatstheater Nürnberg (directed by Nina Russi, conducted by Wolfgang Katschner) and as Barone di Brik-Brak in Gazzaniga's ‘L'isola d'Alcina’ with l'arte del mondo at the Schwetzingen SWR Festival (CD recording for Sony in September 2022). He subsequently appeared in this production, directed by Christoph von Bernuth, at the Staatstheater Oldenburg.

In 2022-23, his agenda included the title role in a new production of Mozart's ‘Le nozze di Figaro’ at the Lübeck Theatre (conductor: Stefan Vladar, director: Steven Lawless) and the role of Cattivo Genio in Bernasconi's ‘L'Huomo’ with the Ensemble 1700 under Dorothe Oberlinger at the Tage für Alte Musik in Herne (WDR live broadcast), at the Markgräfliches Opernhaus Bayreuth and at the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci 2023. He gave recitals of Schubert's "Winterreise" with the Grundmann Quartet in the version for baritone, string trio and cor anglais. A CD of this ‘Winterreise’ was released in 2023 on the Genuin label to excellent international reviews.

In 2023-24, he returned to Lübeck as Figaro in addition to numerous concerts, including with the Thomaner Chor and the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig. He performed the title role of Nebucadnezzar in Reinhard Keiser's opera of the same name at the Rococo Theatre in Schwetzingen as part of the ‘Winter in Schwetzingen’ series.
